project description Wanton, 1997 Wanton is an image of a cracked window shot through a sheet of blue Perspex that I used to cover that window with. The broken window was a result of wanton actions on my part, my wife was really upset with my reckless behaviour and threw a coffee mug at me. Only a year or two later I photographed the window. In the time between photographing the window and the incident I’ve always been aware of its presence the way the sunlight is caught the cracks and the way in which the blue Perspex created a dreamlike window. I was attracted to the aesthetics, yet not forgetting how it kept reminding me what had happened. Wanton
