project description
River Notes—on entropy
finds its inspiration in Bill Callahan's song 'Ride My Arrow',
River Notes
explores the various aspects of entropy within daily life. Callahan sings, 'Is life a ride to ride/ Or a story to shape and confide/ Or chaos neatly denied?' Literally and metaphorically address the relationships between movement, focus, meditation, and change.
The series converts everyday experiences into entrancing moments, creating alchemy in visual poetry. The photographs showcase the randomness of life, from peaceful still lives to lively moments, offering insight into the unpredictable nature of things. The goal is to emphasise the idea of organised chaos and the ability to impose order amidst disorder.
