project description more/cry 2002-2003 Mpeg movies edited and written to DVD (after Bas Jan Ader, I’m Too Sad to Tell You, 1971, black & white film) Why do we cry? And when the tears dry up, what then? While many of us shy away from exhibiting our grief publicly, I documented my emotional outbursts in the wake of a traumatic divorce. Then a while later, after having slightly healed, I watched myself dispassionately. More/Cry is a dialogue between two versions of the same self, where I both experienced and observed these processes.
