Beverley Hills, Sunnyside, Pretoria, South Africa, 2007

This is a photograph of the foyer of an apartment in Sunnyside, the suburb where I live. The utopian dream of South Africa in the seventies, conveyed here by this architecture, takes on an ironic twist in its current state. The ceiling was fixed shortly after this photograph was taken.
